Tudor Employment are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Supervisor at our client site based in Bilston.

Salary: £21000 – £25,6k

Hours: 34 – 48hrs per week (flexible)

Role Overview

Based at our client’s extensive distribution centre near Wolverhampton and working as part of our own Onsite Contract Management Team, this role is fundamental in us delivering both performance and service excellence in line with our goals, values and contract objectives.

This is a fast-paced position within a very pressurised & target driven environment.

Effective communication is the key within the position as you will be liaising on a daily/hourly basis with not only our own onsite team (from warehouse operatives to Tudor directors) but also with a variety of key individuals from with our clients own senior management team.

It is expected that at least 80% of the Onsite Shift Supervisor’s time should be spent actively out in the aisles, motivating and encouraging our Pickers to achieve their cases per hour expected targets whilst optimising the overall shift performance and operational service delivery as a result.

Key Accountabilities

  • Driving both individual and shift performance (KPI)
  • Identify under-performing individuals, whether new starters or long-standing employees and ensure they are offered the applicable training, coaching and mentoring with a view to driving productivity and enhancing worker development
  • Taking responsibility for resolving any issues that can impact performance
  • Aiding with disciplinaries as required
  • Training new starters – completing required documentation
  • Start of Shift Check in and MHE co-ordination
  • Ensuring our clients and our own H&S policies are followed and adhered at all time and accidents, near misses or anything of a similar nature are reported and investigated in line with operational procedure
  • Responsible for helping our client ensure that the warehouse and any associated communal areas are kept both safe and tidy, and are compliant with relevant legislation as a minimum.
  • Ensure all shift preps / downtime logs are accurate
  • Submission of Shift Handovers
  • Shift Trackers – 2hrly reporting
  • Participation in operational meetings
  • Working with the onsite team to support in all aspects of the operation

Preferable Knowledge and Skills

  • 1+ years previous FMCG / Logistics / retail warehousing experience at team leader/ supervisor level preferred
  • Computer literate – WMS, MS Excel & Outlook as a minimum
  • Exceptional customer service / man-management skills

Hours of Work:

We can offer the following shift pattern however, in order to offer our client, the highest level of service 24/7 we require our team to be flexible so we can meet operational needs.

Monday to Thursday 5.30am – 2pm 

Optional 5th (& 6th) day available on either a Saturday or Sunday 


Extended hours on the Monday to Thursday (eg 12hrs shift) 

All additional hours will be working in the operation
